Inventor of Gérovital, an anti-ageing agent
Ana Aslan (born Ana Aslanian 1897-1988), physician, inventor, biologist, gerontologist and university professor, born in Romania into a family of Armenian intellectuals, was one of the pioneers in the fight against aging. She became world-famous for her discoveries and the development, in 1955, of H3 (Gérovital), an anti-ageing agent subsequently patented in over 30 countries. Gérovital also gave rise to scientific publications. Some of the world’s greatest celebrities are said to have used it.
Ana Aslan was also renowned for her kindness and humanity, qualities that prompted her to give up her passion for aviation to embrace medicine.
As a tribute to her, an institute in Bucharest now bears her name: the « Ana Aslan » National Institute of Gerontology and Geriatrics. It is renowned for its treatment and expertise in cardiology, neurology, diabetes, nutrition and endocrinology.
